Gabriel Slonina breaks United States record
26 JAN 2023
Chelsea and United States player Gabriel Slonina has become the
youngest-ever goalkeeper to start for the US Men's National Soccer Team
(USMNT).
Slonina, who arrived from MLS side Chicago Fire in the summer, started
their international friendly match against Serbia last night.
Despite the European side winning 2-1 in Los Angeles, it was still a
historic night for the 18-year-old.
Gaga wore the No.24 shirt and made six saves at the BMO Stadium.
Slonina has made one Chelsea appearance in the Premier League 2, which
came earlier this month when we defeated Wolves 2-0.
Congratulations, Gaga!
