Chelsea have also contacted Mauricio Pochettino in the last few days. It’s the first direct approach after last summer when he was in the list. 🚨🔵 #CFC

Nothing advanced yet, Nagelsmann remains favourite.
Talks will continue, as Chelsea want to be 100% sure of their choice. pic.twitter.com/tIhLhNSmAU
Warmth grows towards Mauricio Pochettino following positive Chelsea talks but Nagelsmann still among frontrunners too #cfc https://t.co/raO7SUHUec

More on Mauricio Pochettino. 🔵 #CFC
— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) April 21, 2023
Contacts are ongoing with Chelsea after initial approach as reported yesterday, he’s in the list — for sure.
Poch was already contender for the job last summer to replace Tuchel, he was in talks with Chelsea board.
No decision made yet. https://t.co/FuVPfZ4rEi
Chelsea shortlist now down to four - Poch, whose candidacy has been boosted this week, Nagelsmann, Kompany (reported by @TomRoddy_ ) and one other who is liked and respected but yet to be revealed. #cfc https://t.co/7rlv5Mc4pC

Big development - as reported by @FabrizioRomano , I've had confirmation that Julian Nagelsmann no longer considers himself to be in contention for the Chelsea job and will not be part of the process moving forwards. Very good news for those who want Pochettino...#cfc

Chelsea want to be 100% sure of their next coach & not having any question marks — the process takes time. 🔵 #CFC

Julian Nagelsmann has been in regular contact with Chelsea — but crucial points were never fully agreed.
Luis Enrique, out of the race.
Pochettino, in the race. pic.twitter.com/DjpKWpg0WV
Bit more on this - Chelsea were always adamant Nagelsmann was never favourite despite some sources claiming he was and things have gone v positively with Pochettino in the last few days. This could now accelerate #cfc https://t.co/6t0sCB1z3Y

Nagelsmann was viewed as a strong candidate, and always part of Chelsea's thinking, but club made it clear to him (and all candidates) there was process. There would be no managerial corronation. Understand feedback on Nagelsmann was also mixed, even negative in some quarters.
