Friday afternoon’s media conference at Cobham was the first opportunity
for Graham Potter to give his reaction to an important new appointment
made by the club during the week.

From Potter’s point of view, the most interesting tactical aspect he
spotted at the World Cup was the defensive strategy the teams deployed.

much pressing, or pressing high. It was a bit more of a drop-off. It
