Valencia CF have decided to bring to an end Rubén Baraja's time as first team coach.
The club would like to publicly thank Baraja for the passion, dedication and commitment that he has shown from the first to the last day of his tenure in charge.
Baraja is one of the greatest legends in the history of Valencia CF. After his return to the club in a coaching role in February 2023, he helped stabilise the team in a complicated situation, and last season he contributed to implementing competitive values that brought Valencia CF closer to the fight for European positions -for which they competed practically until the closing days of the 2023/24 campaign.
The dynamic of results during this season has required a decision that has been very difficult to make, but which has been taken with the aim of turning the situation around and achieving better results.
Valencia CF wish Rubén Baraja the best of luck and much success in the future.

多災多難的一個賽季，雖然拿到了新資金是好事，但瓦倫西亞地區碰上大淹水，停賽好機場也只是延遲敗仗而已，本季新援如 Enzo Barrenechea、Rafa Mir、Luis Rioja、Dani Gomez 獲得不少上場時數，但表現並不出色，上賽季關鍵人物如 Javi Guerra、Diego Lopez、Fran Perez、Hugo Duro 機會被壓縮，表現也退步，然後又連續傷了 Thierry Correia、Giorgi Mamardashvili，隊長 Jose Gaya 復出沒多久也再傷停，後防三寶 Cesar Tarrega、Cristhian Mosquera、Yarek Gasiorowski 不論是雙後衛還是三中衛都輪流出包，扛不住就是扛不住，進攻踢得很像什麼上古足球只會兩翼傳中亂飛，防守一犯錯就丟球，前一輪雖然在主場補時 2-2 追平保住遮羞布，但那個氣氛大概也知道 Rubén Baraja 要掰了，畢竟接連踢不贏保級對手，再這樣下去只會更慘，可惜新資金來得太晚，夏轉很明顯就是省錢的方針，一堆租借和便宜買進，效果真的不大，接下來要看冬轉給不給力了，不過倒數第二這成績.... 想保級看來要很大的奇蹟了，唉。
老隊長先是幫球隊驚險保級，上賽季沒錢還維持在前段班，辛苦了。
